Originally popular during the Victorian era, scent bottles were a staple in the woman’s closet. However, this sterling silver scent bottle doesn’t date back quite as far as the Victorian era. It only has a .925 marking and no date stamp, so It’s impossible to know the exact year, but it captures the essence of mid-century design, therefore suggesting potentially the 1960’s.
I have added a beautiful purple boulder opal and a chain to it for it to be worn as a keepsake vessel, close to your heart. The chain attaches to the vessel via an easy to use S shape clasp.
You can store a variety of sentimental things in it: flowers, sand from your favourite beach, ashes, a rolled up photograph - you name it.
The lid is attached via a chain so. you can’t lose it!
