This collection is designed to be a full of chunky heirlooms you can wear and pass down. Something to make you feel bold, and seen.
At the centre of these earrings are a phenomenal boulder opal split pair. A split pair occurs when a vein of opal has been split down the middle, resulting in a mirror imaged pair. A real treat from mother nature.
The opals are then sat upon a mixed metal design earring - the base is sterling silver, whilst the shiny accents on the front are solid 9k gold. One of the lines of accents is also 9k, and this is much more visible in lower light than these images were taken.

All Mahkato Silver pieces are handmade with genuine, solid metals, slowly crafted in Kate’s Sunshine Coast studio, and feature unique hand stamped designs. All stones used are Australian, and cut/polished by local lapidary artists. The Mahkato Silver makers mark stamp is visible on the inside of ring bands, and on the backs of earrings, pendants / other pieces.

Mahkato Silver only uses SOLID opals. The true colour of your opal ring may vary slightly to the photograph. The colour of opals varies greatly with light and shadow. It’s also important to note that they’re a naturally occurring material and might include natural ‘imperfections’.
